What does Donald Trump have in common with a young man who dreams of playing in a Super Bowl? The desire to bring home glory.
The young man's mother shares the same dream, but for her, glory is keeping her family together. Amidst massive deportations, police brutality and the demons of her past, she must navigate a wave of racism in America's worst immigration crisis.
This fiction book is based on testimonies -compiled by the author over 10 years- of people traveling from Central America to the United States, including migrants in transit through Mexico, deportees, undocumented immigrants in the USA, and people from different nationalities stranded at the US-Mexico border.
“Succeeds in dismantling stereotypes and dispelling misconceptions surrounding migration. By highlighting the resilience, contributions, and aspirations of these individuals, this book challenges readers to reconsider their preconceived notions and engage in more empathetic conversations."
"Introduces readers to a diverse array of voices, each narrating their unique journey, struggles, and triumphs. Through these narratives, the author crafts a tapestry that celebrates the rich mosaic of experiences within the immigrant community, emphasizing the shared humanity that transcends legal status."
“Offers a refreshing and positive perspective on the transformative impact of diverse cultures on the nation's identity. This book is a celebration of the richness of the human kind, skillfully weaving together narratives that illuminate the beauty of America's multicultural history.”
